Doctoral Programmes
1. School of Architecture and Built Environment
   Area of Research: Environment Engineering, Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Water Management, Climate Change
   Eligibility: At the time of registration for Ph.D. a candidate should posses a Master's Degree or an equivalent in relevant specialization with 60% aggregate marks in master's degree (55% in case of SC/ST) from any University/ Institution established by law.
2. School of Engineering
 

Area of Research: Power Systems, Electrical Machine & Drives, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engg, CAD/CAM.

Eligibility: At the time of registration for Ph.D. a candidate should posses a Master's Degree or an equivalent in relevant specialization with 60% aggregate marks in master's degree (55% in case of SC/ST) from any University/Institution established by law.

3. School of Humanities and Social Sciences
 
Ph.D. Full Time(Residential Programme)

Eligibility Criteria : Master degree in Social Sciences (Education/Psychology/ International Relations/History/ Political Science/Social Work/Sociology) discipline with 55% marks in aggregate for General and OBC candidates. (50% for SC/ST). Candidates appearing in final year post graduation examination are also eligible to apply.

Duration of the programme : Maximum 3 years from the date of acceptance of research proposal to the submission of the thesis.

Preference will be given to the candidates who have qualified NET/SLET examinations or completed M.Phil. in concerned discipline.



Ph.D. For Working Professionals

Eligibility Criteria : Master degree in Social Sciences (Education/Psychology/ International Relations/History/ Political Science/Social Work/Sociology) discipline with 55% marks in aggregate for General and OBC candidates. (50% for SC/ST). Two years of working experience at appropriate level is essential.

Duration of the programme : Maximum 3 years from the date of acceptance of research proposal to the submission of the thesis.

Preference will be given to the candidates who have qualified NET/SLET examinations or completed M.Phil. in concerned discipline.

4. School of Information & Communication Technology
 
Ph.D. for Working Professionals

Qualification: Master's in Engineering or Technology in major areas of Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering with 60% marks (55% in case of SC/ST) in qualifying exams obtained from any of the universities/institutions established and/or approved by law.

Experience: A candidate should have two years research/teaching experience in an institute of higher learning/central laboratory or equivalent experience in industry at an appropriate level as on last date of submission of application form. The candidate is also required to produce a letter of consent from the current employer for providing sufficient facilities and time for conducting the research work.

Desirable: Papers published/ presented at national/ international conferences and journals.

Areas for Research: Software Engineering, Intelligent Systems and Robotics, Wireless Communication and Networks, VLSI Design



Ph.D. Full Time Programme
